Ayde awakes just before the sun rises. It’s a habit he’s developed since he was five years old, rising first before everyone else in his house so he could feel the cool morning dew on his mother’s back yard. Maybe he’s always had a fondness for water and everything that glitters under the sun. His thoughtful nature told him so and he believes his instincts more than anything or anyone else in the world.
Growing up in a conventional family taught Ayde obligation and responsibility, especially as a firstborn son. His life has always been expected to excel above the rest, which he did with amazing ease. His mind is a universal sponge, retaining everything it touches. His family learned the meaning of those diamond glints in his eyes; everyone had better stay clear because he had found his pursuit and he would never stop, come Hell or high water.
But Ayde has lived a blessed kind of life, the kind most can only dream of. His excellence takes him places and at the end, he decides to live up to his father’s long time dream of being a medical practitioner. It was the expected thing to do and he gladly complied. He knew from an early age where he was meant to be: he had his world for the taking and the road was paved wide open, until the day he met Sia.
